God, Giver of all that is good,
we thank you for giving Mary Ward
to the Church and to all people.

Impelled by the fire of your love
she did not shrink from risks,
labours or sufferings.
She lived and worked for your greater glory
and for the good of the Church,
for the propagation of faith,
and for the dignity of women.
She was consolation for the sick, help for the poor.

Grant that,
through the solemn testimony of the Church,
the example of her life
may become a light for many people.
We ask this grace through our Lord,
Friend and Master, Jesus Christ.
